National Consumer Retail Campaign
My role: Concept development, copywriting, campaign strategy, creative collaboration
I developed the original concept for Take It to the House, a national retail promotion for Tyson Deli built around the language and excitement of football. The campaign connected Tyson Deli wings with the anticipation of game day and gave the promotion a memorable, ownable idea that could extend across retail, promotional, and supporting communications.
I developed the campaign concept and copy and worked closely with the lead designer to bring the idea to life. The campaign was featured in more than 800 retail stores and generated up to a 200% lift in sales during promotional periods.
The concept proved durable well beyond its initial launch and has continued to be used and adapted by Tyson for subsequent promotions, incorporating new retail partners, sweepstakes, and promotional elements.

Integrated Mortgage Marketing Campaign
My role: Concept development, copywriting, campaign strategy, creative collaboration
I developed the Wright 4 You Mortgage Campaign for Wright-Patt Credit Union, including the campaign concept and four underlying customer pledges that became the foundation for the campaign:
-
Find the right mortgage: Help each member find the mortgage that best suited their needs while saving them money.
-
Close on time: Make a commitment to getting members to closing when promised.
-
Go above and beyond: Provide a level of service beyond what members expected from a financial institution.
-
Make it easy: Simplify the mortgage lending process from beginning to end.
I developed the campaign messaging and copy across an integrated range of channels, including a campaign microsite, member brochure, email, billboard, newspaper advertising, direct mail, and radio.
The campaign produced significant results within its first three months. Wright-Patt reached 7% mortgage market share—the highest in the credit union's history at the time. The campaign microsite generated 33% of all mortgage applications, and Wright-Patt secured nearly $20 million in loans during the campaign.

Integrated B2B/B2C Marketing Campaign
My role: Concept development, copywriting, media planning and buying, creative direction
I developed the concepts and copy for a national campaign for Maple Leaf Farms designed to build consumer interest in duck while creating demand at the foodservice level. The strategy combined a broad B2C advertising effort with B2B messaging aimed at getting duck onto restaurant menus.
The campaign included print advertising in national culinary publications including Gourmet and Bon Appétit, as well as a national television spot. I managed the national print media buying and wrote and agency-directed the television commercial, which was filmed on location in New York City.
The campaign generated enough consumer and foodservice interest that retailers reported a noticeable lift in product.
The work was an example of using consumer-facing storytelling not simply to sell a product directly, but to influence demand throughout the channel—from the consumer who wanted duck to the foodservice operator who could put it on the menu.

Our Sunday Visitor — Publishing & Product Marketing
Biweekly Content & Engagement Initiative
My role: Concept development, copywriting, content strategy, audience targeting
I developed the One Minute Brief as a biweekly email initiative designed to give Catholic ministry leaders useful, concise insights while creating a more natural path into conversation with ACST.
The concept was intentionally simple: three simple but focused ideas, delivered in a format that could be read quickly and shared easily. I developed the editorial approach, messaging, and content, tailoring each brief to the interests and challenges of Catholic ministry audiences.
The initiative became a consistent engagement channel for the Catholic business, generating warm conversations and creating opportunities for sales follow-up without relying on traditional promotional messaging.
By refining the content, tone, and audience targeting over time, the One Minute Brief helped increase average email open rates from 22% to 45%.

Consumer Digital Content & Engagement
My role: Concept development, content strategy, copywriting, recipe development
Catalyst developed DeliAnytime.com as a broad national consumer platform supporting Tyson’s in-store promotions and programs.
The site brought together product information and practical, entertaining content designed to help consumers get more from deli products—from Kitchen Know-How articles and party-planning ideas to deli meal features, recipes, and other seasonal content.
I developed and wrote a significant portion of the site's editorial content, including Kitchen Know-How articles, party-planning content, meal ideas, and recipes, translating product information into useful, approachable content for everyday consumers.
The project gave Tyson a digital destination that could extend the reach of its retail promotions while building an ongoing relationship with consumers through useful and engaging content.

Editorial Storytelling & Product Marketing
My role: Copywriting, product positioning, campaign strategy, launch marketing, and content development
During nine years at Our Sunday Visitor, I worked at the intersection of publishing, marketing, and editorial, developing the messaging that helped books and other products find their audiences.
My work included cover and back-cover copy, product descriptions, website content, email and direct marketing, launch campaigns, promotional materials, and other customer-facing communications. I also worked closely with editorial and acquisitions teams to translate a book or product's core idea into a compelling market position.
Among the major launches I supported were Jim Wahlberg's The Big Hustle and The Fisherman's Tomb by John O'Neill, both high-profile titles requiring coordinated positioning and promotion across multiple channels.
The work demanded the same fundamental skill I brought to agency work: find the story, understand the audience, identify what matters, and turn it into language that makes people want to pay attention.
